Chainsawing for Greenhorns (4 hrs, $145, max=5)
Fundamentals of safe operation: saw hazards, positioning body & mind. Ideal for those with little to no chainsawing experience, or have never been formally trained in chainsaw safety. Good pre-course for those considering Game of Logging Levels 1&2.
Supervised chainsaw practice: posture, basic maneuvers, avoiding pinched saws and dull chain. Forces of the tool and the wood. Smart work efficiencies. "Meet the Forest" mindfulness and gratitude practice of your choice held at the outset.

FIREWOOD PRODUCTION (8 hrs, $275, max=9)
Selecting and collecting, species preferences, forest improvement basics. Staging and pre-drying before processing, bucking and splitting. Try many tools to discover your favorites while learning to avoid injuries. Learn stacking techniques. Tips and tales to deepen appreciation for the forest and the firewoood. "Meet the Forest" mindfulness and gratitude practice of your choice held at the outset.

HONORABLE TREE FELLING (8 hrs, $275, MIN=7)
Partly about tree felling, but principally a day of learning to communicate with the forest More-than-Human. Deepen your connection with trees and with other humans. Survey spiritual, symbolic, and mythic traditions across time and culture.
Experience gestures, meditations, writings, ceremonies, and actions that allow communication and energy exchange with trees. Observe your facilitator fell a tree with respect and gratitude, then plant new trees. Strengthen your community with like-minded humans and the Divine within Nature. You are not alone in your awe and gratefulness for forests!

GAME OF LOGGING® (16 HRS, $475, MIN=8) An overview of chain saw safety, basic tree felling, including 5-point felling plan and the bore cut method of felling, basic saw maintenance and chain sharpening techniques, spring poles, and further tree felling, as time permits.
